Bacon Wrapped Potato Tots

Nothing like a nice cuppa tea!!
These potato tots butter known as tater tots can be dished up with bacon or just air fried on its own. You can use pigs bacon or vegetarian bacon. It will all be lovely.

Before cooking the bacon wrapped potato tots, spray the pan lined with a grate. This will help the bacon oil to drip at the bottom of pan and not soak up in the tots.

Roll a half piece of bacon around the potato tot, continue doing this until all wrapped.

Ingredients
- Tater tots - 1 bag, or less
- Bacon - 1 - 1 pound pack, cut in half
- pepper - pinch to taste
- sea salt - pinch to taste
- onion powder - pinch to taste
- sour cream - as needed for dip
- Mayo or miracle whip - as needed for dip
- hot sauce - as needed for dip
Instructions
Method:
Open bacon package and cut the bacon in half, then wrap each tater tot/ potato tots with bacon and place on the fry fryer rack. ( Also can be cooked in the oven or BBQ grill )
Add a pinch of black pepper, sea salt and onion powder to each one. Cook the bacon wrapped tater tots on the FRENCH FRY setting 400ºf and let cook for 15 minutes. Turn it on again until bacon is crispy.
Place the tater tots on a plate, serve with your favourite brunch items. Repeat the method until all tater tots are wrapped and cooked. Keep warm in a warm oven or wrap in foil wrap.
Serve hot or room temp.
Bonita’s Tips:
- Prep bacon wrapped tater tots the night before or morning off serving them and keep in the fridge in a container until ready to cook them. This will speed up prep time.
- Use your favourite dip if you don’t like sour cream use greek yogurt.

Todays recipe was one we made for ourselves today for brunch, nothing fancy and only a few simple ingredients. I like cooking my bacon in the air fryer because it removes all the oil and it goes to the bottom of the pan and not in the food you are cooking…

These make a nice pot luck meal to go!
