Please make yourself a cup of tea and sit back and enjoy our short video tutorial and recipe is posted below!!

I got these apple in the make down bin at Walmart and I always look there if I'm in there store or any grocery store.
Savings is important when you are buying food or anything.

My Mom would say these apples are not hurt!!
With everything so expensive it is very important to try to save where you can, checking the mark down bin is a start.

I can roll in these spices because its so warm and tasty...it just makes you feel good.

I'm using my standup mixer to make this pastry but you can use your hand...I will share a video of making it by hand as well.

You can also make your pie crust pastry in advance and freeze for another time.
This recipe just covers this recipe for cinnamon apple pastries.

Having the pastry cold hardens the butter and makes it flaky and easy to roll.

I hope you are excited about this recipe and it is so tasty, we have many apple recipes and I just love them all...

Ingredients
- Apples - 3 each, of choice
- Brown sugar - ½ cup
- Ground cinnamon - ¼ cup
- Ground ginger - ½ tsp
- Nutmeg - ¼ tsp
- Sea salt - ¼ tsp
- PASTRY DOUGH
- All purpose flour - 2 cups
- Unsalted butter - ½ cup
- Sea salt - ½ tsp
- Cold water - ½ cup
Instructions
Method:
Mix flour, butter ( chop in pieces) and salt together in a bowl mix with your hand or standup mixer. When mixed add water mix until it shapes into a ball then remove from mixing bowl.
Sprinkle counter with flour, then cut the ball into 2 pieces then put one pastry ball on counter then roll out the same as a pie pastry…
With a pizza cutter, cut long strips around 1 inch wide.
Continue doing this with half of the pastry dough , then preheat your oven to 375ºF and set the timer to 20 minutes or less depending on your oven.
Prepare the apples, rinse the apples with water to clean and dry with a towel. After cut in slices but don’t peel.
With a knife cut the centre out of the piece of the apple. Do this with all the apples or as many as you like.
In a bowl add your brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and sea salt then mix around or toss.
Sprinkle the apples with a little of the mixture. After take one piece of the pastry at a time and roll around the apple through the hole in the middle and all around. Do this with all of them.
After toss the apple pasties into the cinnamon mixture on both sides. Do this with all of them until all done.
Then place all pastries on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, and put in a preheated oven.
When baked serve hot with ice-cream or room temp. Be careful if hot you don’t burn your mouth.
Bonita’s Tips:
Use any type of apple, don’t peel them. Use pears if you like.
Keep half of the pastry for another use, roll out and cover with parchment paper and clear wrap to roll up and freeze for another use.
Cinnamon apple pasties make good lunch dessert or breakfast idea.

We hope you are still very excited about making some of these tasty cinnamon apple pastries…use any type of apples and add more or less spices. No need to dip n lemon juice to help the apples from turning brown. When you roll them in the cinnamon mixture you will stop the apples from turning dark.

Next roll and cut the pastry around 1/2 inch wide to roll around the cut apple through the middle and around. See video tutorial for more details..

Raymond was making the core hole bigger to roll the pastry in and around the apple slice.

Plus the extra pastry you can put on a piece of parchment paper and roll over and put in the freezer for another time..

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you get to make these delicious cinnamon apple pastries. From our kitchen to yours…..
