Green Tomato Chow Chow

This recipe we did a few years back and we feel it needs to be reposted for all our viewers to see and maybe make if you got access to Green Tomatoes.

Green Tomato Chow Chow
Pouring 1/4 cup sea salt in layers over your green tomatoes and yellow onions to draw out the water and brine the veggies.

Layering the veggies the night before you are going to cook it and layer equal layer’s of sea salt between each veggies step.

Remember to drain off the salty liquid the next day and add more vinegar and water to start boiling. See recipe for more details.

Ready to bottle, and after follow the sterilizing and sealing video for your green tomato chow chow

Bottle the green tomato chow chow in medium size jars and seal them by following the Sterilizing and Canning Procedures before storing them.
