Traditional Newfoundland Moose Stroganoff
Moose stroganoff in a creamy mushroom sauce with egg noodles, made with bottled moose meat.

This meal can be made with a roast or steak of moose meat, if you make this dish with that you will need to tenderize the meat first. First clean meat well, then add some seasonings, sea salt, black pepper, fresh garlic, chopped onions, two tbsp of your favourite sauce or HP sauce, and 1/2 cup beef broth.

Bake in a 350°f oven for 2 hours then remove from heat and cut in small pieces.

Then in a large saucepan fry the moose meat until golden brown following the recipe on this site.

I know not everyone got access to wild game meat but if you do place give this recipe a try i’m sure you will enjoy it.

But for those of you that don’t have access to moose meat, you can make this recipe using any of your favourite meats, ground beef, ground pork, chicken or turkey.
