I hope you are looking for a quick and easy CHILI meal, if so you are in the right place. This recipe is one I love to make and bottle to have whenever I'm looking for comfort food, serve this with whatever side dish, taco's, rice, a light salad or burritos.

If you don't own a slow cooker you may think about buying one, new or second hand it doesn't matter just as long as you own one. I have recipes on here for slow cooked pasta sauce and pull pork and bought is equally has delicious and you can store in mason jars to have whenever you like.

Ingredients

Mushrooms - 1 can 10oz
Red kidney beans - 1 can 398ml
Pasta sauce - 1 cup or more
Tomatoes - 1 can diced, 398ml
Lean ground beef - 1 pound or more
Cumin - 1 tsp
Ground chili - 3 tbsp
Cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
Brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
Sea salt - 1 tsp
Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1 large chopped
Carrot - 1 large chopped
Garlic Cloves - 3 cloves
Coloured Peppers - 1 cup or more
Celery - 2 sticks, chopped
Fresh Thyme or ground - 1 tsp or more

Instructions

CHILI SLOW COOKED:

Prep: 10 minutes, cook time: 6-9 hours, 1 slow cooker

METHOD;

Start by peeling, cutting and cleaning all your veggies then measure all the seasonings and spices you need for your chili.

Place the slow cooker on a safe counter top and free of anything touching it.

Add all ingredients to your slow cooker and turn the slow cooker on low.

Cook for anywhere from 6 to 9 hours depending on your schedule and serve hot.

Of course chili is not a traditional dish for us, but I have been trying to share many different meals and dishes for everyone to enjoy. This is the way I would make it and if you like it a little different, WELL… change it up. Our website is made to please everyone when it come to different cultural meals and dishes. We have viewers requests and some of my own recipes I enjoy making and have wrote. This one is made up of the flavours I like to combine together to make for our family, anything slow cooked saves time and money because you are not ordering in…… this is a meal you can bottle and keep up to a month in the fridge or longer.

Playing with flavours is my favourite thing to do, adding in veggies with my meal takes it to another level and taste. When making this chili if you don’t like red kidney beans use a bean of choice it will work trust me I know. When you are cooking for yourself and your beautiful families the sky is the limit, when you cook with that in mind you will love making meals and planning them,.
