Flaky Pie Pastry

If you are looking for a pastry that's made with hard cold butter, this is it!
This recipe makes two pastry crust for one or two pie depending on if you only want the bottom as a crust.

COLD Butter, sea salt, COLD water, and all purpose flour!


You can cut in half after you form the mixture into a ball.
This will be enough for two bottom crusts for your pies.
You can also use for one pie with top and bottom crust.

Ingredients
- All- purpose flour - 2½ cups
- Butter - ½ cup, COLD
- Water - ½ cup, COLD
- Sea salt - ½ to 1 tsp
Instructions
Method:
In a bowl add flour and sea salt, then cut in COLD butter until all combine. After slowly add COLD water and mix with mixer or by hand.
Then form into a ball, cut in two pieces and wrap in clear wrap and put in fridge for 15 minutes or longer to cool butter.
After dust counter with flour and put one ball of pastry on it and roll out. Then roll pastry around the roller to put in pie pan or whatever you need the pastry for.
Like pastry tarts, slab pastry it will work too.
Allergens

After you make the pastry ball, toss out onto your counter top to roll out.
Dust to counter with a little flour to keep from sticking.


Cut away any pastry hanging over the pan or pinch the sides together with your fingers.
Also you can use a fork to make indents in the sides.
